We have a number of teachers qualified and experienced in the SEN areas of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Physical Impairment.

Our associate Educational Psychologists are able to offer full assessments, including exam concessions assessment where specific learning difficulties (e.g. Dyslexia) lead to a special concession being required for public examinations.

A one-off session to analyse your child’s educational performance and potential, which can include assistance with selecting the right school for the future. Following an Assessment, you may choose to receive written or verbal feedback.

Some parents decide to home educate their children. This may be for a variety of reasons – straightforward parental choice, health problems, phobia or special needs. In some cases tuition requirements are short-term, and in others lessons are required for longer periods. Our flexible approach ensures that our tuition always fits the particular needs and circumstances of the child.

Sometimes students have been excluded from school. Harrison Allen tutors have the experience, patience and character to re-engage pupils and help them return to mainstream education. In the interim, we are able to prepare students for Common Entrance, GCSE or A level examinations.

Our expertise extends beyond A levels, and we are able to provide assistance in the completion of UCAS forms, including the all-important Personal Statement. Selected tutors can also perform mock university interviews, giving guidance on the qualities and qualifications sought by today’s universities.
